For one package, the price: $2.99. That’s more than I can say for other gluten-free pastas. Sure, there are many great gluten-free pastas and some that are not, but this is one of my favorite gluten free Pastas. It is budget friendly and tastes great. Typically, gluten-free pasta versions cost more, but this one does not hurt your wallet and your gut if you need a gluten-free version of pasta. π
What I love about this pasta as well is that it is full of protein and comes from a healthy source as well! Quinoa itself is easy to cook and adds an extra protein boost to a plant based meal.
Cooking Instructions:
In a large pot, bring water to boil, adding salt, if desired. Add pasta and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 7 – 10 minutes or until al dente. Do not overcook. Remove pasta from heat and drain thoroughly. Rinse if desired. Serve as you would any regular pasta.
To make this a full meal, add marinara sauce or with olive oil, garlic, and thyme, top with seasonal roasted or sauteed vegetables, “Beyound Meat” or “Gardein” groundless plant-based meat cutlet or vegan meatballs. One of my favorite meatless meatballs is from Veganize It! By Robin Robertson.
*Important note to remember: This pasta (overall gluten-free pasta) cooks faster than regular pasta. Do not overcook this pasta, for sure!
